THE EARTH

The earth is almost flattened like a turnip at the poles.  The rotation of the earth adds centrifugal effects to it.  Due to which it is slightly raised near the equator and its poles are slightly flattened.  Because of these centrifugal effects, the surface distance from the Earth's inner center is 33% shorter at the poles than at the equator.

Earth is the only planet in the solar system where life exists.  Water covers 3/2 of the earth's surface.  The outer surface of the earth is made up of mountains, sand and mud.  Mountains are essential for maintaining the balance of the earth's surface.  The Sun is the third of the eight planets from the Sun.  It is also known as Earth, Blue Planet, World, and Soil.  Earth is the third closest planet to the Sun, after the Blue Marble Planet and Terra or Gaia.  Scientific research has shown that the age of the earth is 4.54 billion years.

The innermost layer of the earth is like a solid ball and has a radius of about 1200 km.  Being so deep, scientists cannot directly study this layer, but they try to understand it with the help of seismic waves passing through it.

As you go deeper into the earth, the temperature and pressure increase.  The center of the earth is the core, its radius is about 3,500 kilometers, and the temperature is over 4,500 degrees.  It is surrounded by a circle of cores and is about 2900 km thick.

The total surface area of the earth is approximately 510,072,000 km2, of which 148,940,000 km2 or 29.2% is water and 361,132,000 km2 or 70.8% is water.  Other elements include 34.6% iron, 29.5% oxygen, 15.2% silicon, 12.7% magnesium, 2.4% nickel, 1.9% sulfuric acid, 0.05% titanium.
