Silence is worship.

 Silence is a word that has great meaning and depth.  It would be more accurate to say that silence is not a word but a subject and a topic on which much can be written and said.  Silence is a language in itself.  There is a saying in English that if speaking is silver then silence is gold. Silence is a wonderful charisma.  It is the divine gift and reward that prevents us from talking nonsense, from strife and division, from conflicts and riots. This silence is the guarantor of our security.

 Less talk is the Sunnah of the Prophets and also the practice of the Sufis.  The Holy Prophet (sws) rarely spoke and mostly preferred to remain silent.

 It is narrated on the authority of Jabir bin Samra:

 From the Messenger today long silence.

 The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was often silent.

  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said about silence:

  The guardian of the tongue is the salvation of the believer.

 The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

 "He who is silent is saved."

 (Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Al-Musnad, 2: 159)

   It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah:

   (Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd, Volume 1: 372)

 "Silence is the highest form of worship."

 The hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is as follows:

 (Kinz al-Amal, 3: 350, No. 6881)

 Silence is a tree that does not bear bitter fruit. That is, a person who remains silent never burns in the fire of Pathwa, although it seems difficult to remain silent, but it has many benefits.

    It is the cause of self-discipline.

   It brings pleasure in worship and prayers.

   Cruelty and hardness of heart are removed by it.

   The cause of God's pleasure.

   On the Day of Resurrection, there is a reason for the reduction of human reckoning.

    There is a way to avoid mistakes.

   Hijab for the ignorant and adornment for the world.

   It is the cause of the cessation of desires.

   They say respect the silence, it is the guide of voices.  Only the heart can know the position of this guide of voices.

   Silence closes the door to tribulations.

  Silence is the means of escaping the disgrace of this world and the hereafter.

  Silence is the reason for entering Paradise.

   Silence makes things worse.

   Through silence man can strengthen his work.

   Silence can create devotion and courage in one's work.

  Silence also brings peace of mind.

 Purpose Silence is a blessing. We desperately need to act on it.
