 It is a green vegetable.  It is usually cooked with meat or lentils.  Pumpkin has many names.  In Punjab it is also called "Loki" and "Ghiya".  It is full of cheap and abundant vegetable nutrients.  There are two types, one round and the other long. Pumpkin is a very useful vegetable, although it is true that it is not one of the favorite vegetables of most people, but its benefits are numerous, apart from pumpkin, pumpkin seeds or peels  The benefits are hidden in the cheese. Pumpkin is usually used only as food.  Pumpkin is cold and wet.  It is full of fat and mineral salts for making meat.  the nature

   Pumpkin is a light food that is easily digested by itself and does not cause any difficulty during this time but also helps in digesting other foods. It is an important and very useful summer vegetable.

    The mineral and biological components of pumpkin contain 20 grams of calcium, 10 milligrams of phosphorus, 0.7 milligrams of iron and also vitamin B complex.  One hundred grams of pumpkin has a nutritional value of 12 calories.

 Pumpkin is a sedative, cold-tempered, anti-inflammatory and diuretic and medicinal vegetable.  Therefore, due to its usefulness, it is used especially for gastrointestinal diseases.

   Thus, nature has rich treasures in all vegetables and fruits for the needs and treatment of the human body, but in all of them, gourd has a special significance. This vegetable of pumpkin is useful for the heart, brain and liver.  It disappears and the appetite starts to open up.


 This vegetable is the best food and medicine to cure mental weakness.


 People who lose weight, if they eat this vegetable regularly at least twice a week, they start gaining weight.

  The benefits of pumpkin are as follows.

   1. People eat pumpkin a lot, their body develops immunity

 1. It increases appetite by eating. It is useful to get rid of thinness. Pumpkin gives joy to heart, liver and brain.

 3. Pumpkin is incomparable in eliminating blood pressure and blood heat.

 4. It is extremely useful in urinary tract diseases and relieves urinary irritation. Eating pumpkin relieves chronic constipation.

 5. Pumpkin pickle is an effective medicine for stomach and stomach ache.

 6. Heat the pumpkin pulp in kidney pain and apply it on the sore spot.

 7.  Some people do not sleep in summer and feel dizzy.  Such people cut pumpkins and massage them on the soles of their feet.  If pumpkin juice is mixed with sesame oil and massaged on the scalp daily at night, then deep sleep comes.

   The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) liked pumpkins very much.  It is narrated from Anas that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to like pumpkins. Sunan Abi Majah, hadeeth no. 3302.  In another hadith, it is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to like to eat pumpkin salad in the season of pumpkins.
