Quranic informations

 The Holy Qur'an was revealed as a guide for every human being in the world and as a mercy for Muslims. It is an inspired book of Allah Almighty, the protection of which is the responsibility of God Almighty Himself.

  There are many names of Holy Quran including Quran, Al-Furqan, Al-Tanzeel, Al-Dhikr, Al-Kitab, Al-Shifa, Al-Rahma, Huda, Al-Haq, Noor-ul-Mubin, Al-Mu'izzah, Al-Hikma, Al-Balagh, Al-Qawl Al-Fasl, Habal Allah, Ahsan Al-Hadith, Al-Urwa Al-Wathqa, Ibra, Al-Burhan,  Siraat Mastiq, Al-Mizan, Al-Quran Al-Hakim, Al-Quran Al-Kareem, Quran Majeed, Al-Bayan, Khair, Mushaf etc. are famous.

  "Reading" means to do;  Because it is often read.

   The Qur'an is from "Quran" meaning union and its verses are intertwined.  That is why it is called the Qur'an.

   The Qur'an means to gather  Because it contains all the surahs.

  The largest surah of the Holy Qur'an is Surah Al-Baqarah and it consists of two hundred and eighty six verses and two and a half verses.

   The smallest surah of the Holy Qur'an is Surah Al-Kawthar, and it consists of three verses.

  The number of letters in the Holy Quran is 340740.

  The Qur'an al-Hakim mentions prayers in about seven hundred places, of which the command to offer prayers is clearly stated in 80 places.

   A total of twenty-five messengers and prophets are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an.
