Language is a great blessing of Allah. This is the organ through which man expresses his feelings and emotions. Because of this man is considered honorable and because of this he deserves humiliation and disgrace.
Many people have a habit of not being able to control the tongue, whereas in the limbs and joints, the tongue is the only organ that needs a lot of restraint.
Many pious and pious people sometimes say things that cause Allah's wrath with their tongues.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"And you utter with your mouths that of which you have no knowledge, and you take it lightly, though it is a great thing in the sight of Allah." (Light 15)
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
"(Man) cannot utter a word except that he has (a scribe) guard ready." (Q18).
Almighty Allah says:
"Surely there are guardians over you, guardians of honor, scribes, they know what you do." (النفطار 12-10).
He said that due to misuse of this language most people will go to hell. Through this language we do a very disgusting thing and that is backbiting and slander. One of the great evils which Allah has mentioned in Surah Hujrat is backbiting.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak well or remain silent.” Is an important door. The beloved Prophet Muhammad said:
Whoever guarantees me two things, I, Hazrat Muhammad, guarantee him Paradise. One language and another shame.
People are tolerant of language calamities and ignore its evil as trivial. However, it is the most effective weapon of the devil. By it he defeats the servants of Allah and forces them to go astray.
People will be thrown upside down in Hell because of what they said with their tongues.
