Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan (born April 1, 1936 - died October 10, 2021) was a Pakistani scientist and creator of the Pakistani atomic bomb. While his funeral prayers were offered at Faisal Masjid. On October 10, 2021 at 7:00 AM, he left the Pakistani nation in mourning. Farewell to Dar Fani.
Born on April 1, 1936 in Bhopal, India to an Urdu-speaking Ghauri Pathan family. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan's family emigrated after independence in 1947 and settled permanently in Pakistan. He obtained a science degree from Karachi University in 1960 and then moved to Berlin, Germany to pursue higher studies.
Abdul Qadeer Khan returned to Pakistan in 1976 after studying at the Technical University of West Berlin, the University of Delft in the Netherlands and the University of Leuven in Belgium for 15 years in Europe. After completing his degree in Engineering, he participated in the Pakistani nuclear program of "Engineering Research Laboratories" on May 31, 1976 at the invitation of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Later, the name of this institute was changed by the President of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq on May 1, 1981 to 'Dr. AQ Khan Research Laboratories'. It is a major player in uranium enrichment in Pakistan. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan founded a seminary called Kixit in November 2000. Dr. AQ Khan's institute under his leadership not only built an atomic bomb but also a small and medium range for Pakistan, including the Ghauri missile, which can strike up to a thousand kilometers away. He also played a key role in the development of several long-range missiles.
During his stay in the Netherlands, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan married a local girl, Honey Khan, now called Honey Khan, with whom he had two daughters.
In August 1996, he was awarded Pakistan's highest civilian honor, the Hilal-e-Imtiaz Medal, in 1989. In 1996, Karachi University awarded Abdul Qadir the honorary degree of Doctor of Science.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, who made Pakistan invincible, also formed an NGO called Sachet Sachet which is active in educational and other welfare activities.
